NMBI maintains a Candidate Register of undergraduate nursing and midwifery students in Ireland. Applicants who trained outside Ireland and are completing an adaptation and assessment placement are also registered here. Candidates must be on the Candidate Register for the duration of their training programme or adaptation and assessment placement.

You need to apply to have your name placed on the Candidate Register. The process is different depending on which category you belong to.

The Candidate Register updates in real-time and is searchable on our web site. It was published in this manner for the first time in 2020.

The search criteria must contain either a PIN number or last name. A search by first name only is not permitted.
